Ethnic Entrepreneurship & Opportunity Recognition

Within this research field ethnic and non-ethnic entrepreneurs in Germany are studied regarding their ability to identify business opportunities. Due to their interculturality we expect a better opportunity recognition ability among ethnic entrepreneurs than among their non-ethnic counter parts. First indications reveal that ethnic entrepreneurs recognize innovative and less innovative market solutions (based on interactions within their networks) because of a low social-related niche coverage in Germany.
