Web-based and automatic electricity market simulation
Our idea
Maon develops an electricity market simulation to help manage planning needs in the electricity industry, which are developing as a result of the energy transition. Today electricity market simulations require fixed expenditures for software and hardware, and also the manual calibration of simulations.
Our new browser-based web service enables electricity market simulations without the installation of software or hardware. Moreover, simulations are reproducible and can be carried out online with pre-calibrated annual and Europe-wide input data.
The approach involves no command lines, nor the direct application of optimization software. Instead, users are supported by parameterization tools and data quality checks. Additionally, our simulation prepares results for subsequent applications such as power-flow simulations.
